The seasonal highlight: in 16 days through China

One of the highlights in the concert season of the International Choir Academy Lübeck, which is now coming to an end, was certainly the Hong Kong guest performance in November 2018, when the Asian premiere of Tan Dun's "Buddha Passion" was celebrated under the musical direction of the composer and OSCAR prize winner. But this unique concert event was to have far-reaching consequences.

Far-reaching in the truest sense of the word: in June the International Choir Academy Lübeck will go on tour with Tan Dun and his "Buddha Passion" in China - and will not only travel almost 5.000 miles through China, but will also participate in the TV broadcast and DVD production of a concert with the "Buddha Passion" in the Mogao Grottoes near Dunhuang - the source of inspiration for Tan Duns Passion. The tour also offers the almost 54 singers from 21 nations 4 concerts in three other Chinese mega metropolises and a highly varied and certainly unforgettable round trip through the Middle Kingdom.
